Wok Stars...

"Care & Feeding of Your Wok"

This video clip is from the "Easy Style"DVD which comes with your Wok Star Kit and shows you how to make your wok last a lifetime.

• “Your Versatile Wok
Linda Bladholm is the author of several cook books including "The Asian Grocery Store Demystified". Plus, here's a good dish to get you started steaming in your wok-- ground turkey(Asian meatloaf) with pickled plums.

  1. Veggies for All Seasons

The beauty of stir frying without a recipe is that it allows you to make the best use of fresh, seasonal vegetables. Keep it simple; use only two or three veggies in a dish; otherwise it becomes "chop suey".

"Eleanor's Easy Chili Crab"

Here's my easy version of the winning chef's recipe from the Tiger Beer Chili Crab Festival. This stir fry uses readily available ingredients from your local supermarket and the chili sauce goes great with other dishes like shrimp.  Pair it with an ice, cold Tiger Beer, delish...

• "Cooking With Kids"
Some of my fondest memories of growing up in Hong Kong are times spent in the kitchen with my mother and 3 sisters. There was lots of giggling and storytelling. Everyone joined in to help and we were always rewarded with a delicious meal.

"Fry it, you'll like it..."

Part of the fun of stir frying is trying new ingredients and combinations. Aloe cubes fry really well and can be found in your local Chinese market.

The Olympics is over, but these party dishes are great for entertaining.

•  Yummy...  Asian Meatloaf”
Here's an EASY dish you can steam -- ground turkey seasoned with Chinese pickled plums.  I call it Asian meatloaf, a healthy way to satisfy your craving for meat and done in just 20 minutes.

Here are fast, fun, flavorful, weekday meal ideas and tips that are healthy and quick to put together in 30 minutes or less.  Check out Wok Stars on the right for their personal spins, Chrystal for her Tex Mex dish or Maritza and 8 yr. old Sophia with their Italian shrimp scampi.

For those not familiar with my "easy style" and NO-recipe approach to wok cooking, here are a few "recipes" to get you stated.  It's so simple to substitute with a variety of veggies and protein (whether it's meat, seafood, poultry or even toufu).  And yes, toufu can be tasty if you use my TSPC method of marinading first.

• “Stir Fried Rice Video
Pineapple Fried Rice is a perfect way to start your wok cooking experience.  It’s simple, and you can easily create your own variations.   This dish will give you confidence with stir frying, which is the first step to becoming a Wok Star.

• “Pumpkin Asian Style
Here’s a suggestion for festive occasions like Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas.  Present this at a party and you'll be a STAR!  And remember, by simply adding some protein (fish, poultry, meat, tofu), you will have a complete one-dish meal.
