I'm including these seasonings (depending on availability) in your Wok Star Kit so you can get started right away. The Hoisin and Bean sauce are full size bottles, NOT samples. This will save you TIME (shopping at the Asian market) and MONEY (about a $20 dollar value). For more detailed information about these ingredients visit Partners.
• Koon Chun
Hoisin Sauce & Brown Bean Sauce
Koon Chun brand sauces are included in your Wok Star Kit because they're used in two of the dishes on my "Easy Style" DVD. My Wok Tips page has a link to a delicious steamed ground turkey dish (Chinese meat loaf) which uses Koon Chun's Umeboshi (sour) plums. Steaming is another way to use your wonderful cast iron wok.
• SAN J Tamari
I love San J's Black Label best because of it's depth and texture. It has a thicker consistency so when you marinade your meat, seafood or poultry, it clings instead of just sliding off which tends to happen when you use thinner soy sauce.
• Ochos Rios Spicy Jerk Seasoning
This exotic Spicey jerk seasoning will get your taste buds tingling! I even sprinkle it on my salads. Yummy.
• CurrySimple is an all-in-one pouch that includes Thai curry paste, fresh coconut milk and fish sauce. There's enough in one pouch for 3-4 dinners depending on the size of your dish. It's made and packaged in Thailand with fresh, natural ingredients, no MSG or preservatives. There are four levels of spiciness: red (medium spicy), green (spicy), yellow (mild) and massaman (more sweet). I’ve chosen red, which is the medium spicy, to include in your kit. Here’s my delicious curry salmon.
